nonstop cooperative: ein kleines label, das bisher drei künstler unter vertrag hat. drauf gekommen bin ich über andrew kaffer, der unter dem pseudonym 'kissing book" auf magic marker das album"(s)" veröffentlicht hat. sein debüt "idle idol" nun erschien auf nonstop cooperative. es enthält neben einem lucksmithscover "transpontine" weitere arbeiten aus den jahren 2000 - 2005. 
neben kaffer (bild 3) finden auf no auch rocketship (bild 1) und cynthia nelson (bild 2) ein zuhause. rocketship wartet mit elegischen, warmen popschwelgern auf, cynthia nelson ist dagegen den songwriterinnen zuzuordnen, wobei sie zuweilen einen leichten mittelaltereinschlag aufweist. ihre stimme ist hell und klar, wunderbar.was mir besonders gefällt, ist der sozialromantische ansatz von no: "Nonstop is an artist-owned cooperative formed to connect artists directly with their audiences. Committed to non-hierarchical decision making and self-determination, Nonstop Co-op artists have created a model for the production and distribution of cultural artifacts in the 21st century.
