"silver" sollte fürs erste ein guter hinweis auf das am 14. juli erscheinende neue album von katie crutchfield sein, es ist ihr bereits viertes album unter dem besonderen moniker und das zweite, welches auf merge veröffentlicht wird, zu "silver" ließ sie sich entlocken: "it’s about self-examination and the different shapes that takes, good and bad. i wanted it to be abstract and poetic, but i also wanted to align it with the other songs on the album, since they’re all so connected lyrically.": waxahatchee:
